Spain: Retail sales stabilize in October
Latest reading: Retail sales were stable in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in October, following September’s 1.1% increase. The deceleration was partly due to softer growth in large chain stores sales. In addition, single retail stores sales fell.
On an annual basis, retail sales rose at a slower pace of 3.5% in October (September: +4.2% yoy). Meanwhile, annual average retail sales growth rose to 2.1% in October (September: +1.8%), which marked a six-month high.
