Sweden: Economic sentiment turns more sour in April
Latest reading: Economic sentiment dipped to a six-month low of 93.4 in April from March’s 94.6. As a result, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected stronger pessimism among consumers. More positively, confidence in the retail and services sectors improved, as did sentiment in the construction and industrial sectors.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations fell, while the economic uncertainty index improved in April.
