Sweden: Industrial output rebounds in November
Latest reading: Industrial output—excluding energy—rebounded sharply in November, rising 2.2% in month-on-month seasonally and calendar-adjusted terms and contrasting October’s minus 0.3% print. Looking at the details of the release, output in the manufacturing plus mining and quarrying sectors returned to growth.
On an annual basis, industrial output rose 2.8% in calendar-adjusted terms in November, improving from October’s 1.7% fall and marking the first increase in eight months. As a result, the trend pointed up, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.2%, above October’s minus 1.4% reading.
